anyone had this problem
i have an 2001 excursion 6.8. my head light will not turn on sometimes if i hit the dash they might come on. has anyone had this problem? if so i could use a little help before pulling my dash off to look for something wrong. thanks for any help you can give

Actually it could be the photo sensor going bad. Much like the sensors on roofs of buildings that detect the sunlight dusk/dawn, your excursion has them for auto head lamps. I would also look into that. Does it do it on auto setting or manual setting too?
