hello to all the ford truck guys out there, i am a long time ford guy. just recently i purchased my first ford truck. its a 1966 f100, reg cab, reg bed. it came from the factory with a 6cyd 3 on the tree. but i have swapped a 351m/ c6 into it. im having trouble figuring out the factory wiring. so i am unable to get the truck running. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just go on Ebay and get yourself a factory wiring manual. They're on there all the time. It would be a good reference to have. Good luck, sounds like a cool truck.
my plan down the road is to swap an 06 crown vic ifs with air ride, and c notch the back with a triangulated 4 link, shave the rear bumper, other than that it will be the stock color, stock interior with a radio added, and stock wheels. should be a fun toy when its done
66-351m, You are going about this *** backwards. IMHO
You are going to have to pull the engine back out to swap the suspension, most of us here feel the M is a real POS anyways, so..... Why not find a 06 police car with usable front, and swap in the more powerful engine and tranny with OD for a little economy.
You should end up with a nice hotrod with a little sipping grace. just a thought
the only reason the 400 is going in the truck is because i got the motor with the truck, and need to use the truck to hull loads with. im not too worried about the fuel economy. i plan on putting a 351w in the truck when i do the suspension swap. and that wont be until next winter at the earliest. thanks for the input tho i do appreciate it.
