i plugged it in, the charge light comes on solid. she said she had left it on the charger overnight to see if it was just completely dead.
hit the turn on button and nothing happens. is there alternate means to turn it on? she said it was working perfectly the last time she used it and turned it off normal.

I looked up the specs and its a decent enough laptop. Not cutting edge obviously, but a long way from being an antique. Perfect for surfing the web, checking email, etc.

Met up with Jim this afternoon. Seems like a cool guy to me.
BTW Jim I fully expect to see you at the next GTG at my shop and yes I finished all the leaves at the house before it got dark out.

Hi Greg, Ken & Pete! 
I didn't get any chores done this afternoon, but I did go visit my brother and meet up w/ Pete to pass off the 1/4" clicker.
Spent some time with my brother, SIL, her father and their two sons.
(Ate too much)
Poked around in my brothers attic to get his cooktop roof vent damper working again and look into removing a kitchen wall.
Glad to hear you had time to finish Pete. We were there almost an hour.
I'll be sure to come to your next GTG. (even if I have to park behind the barn)

My first suggestion would be to unplug the cord and ditch the battery for a few minutes. Then replace the cord and leave the battery out. Try booting it up with no battery in it.
