I have an 06 F350 5.4, xl, 4x4. If your doing 50-65 mph or so, and hit a pothole or a series of washboards on the gravel roads, the trucks front left wheel will rebound and then continue rebounding. Kind of like once you give the wheel a chance to bounce once, it dribbles itself like a basketball. Almost sends the truck flying into the ditch, or shakes it to a million pieces! Can only stop it by laying on the brakes and slowing the truck down to the point where the wheel is turning so slow it will just balance out. fuel tank in box slides all over, everything in the ashtray is on the floor, cupholders lose their contents. What causes this wheel dribble/bounce effect? It has new shocks, good tires at around 50psi, and 300 gallons of fuel in the slip tank doesnt help either. Its tough to explain but its quite a rush/scary feeling! I would rather have my older model leaf springs back, bad experience with the coil setup! Anyone have any ideas??? Thx

When you say new shocks, what is installed. Just because they're new doesn't make them the right one for an SD. Sounds like they aren't providing enough damping action or they may be too stiff and not letting the springs work to allow the tires to follow the surface of the road.
I cant remember the name of the shocks but they are supposed to be for my exact sd. I just didnt buy them from ford. Ill check things out tomorrow when I hit my shop
Air those tires up 50 is to low up front, especially on a diesel. I believe 65 is recommended. I know when my tires start getting low I see the wobble. Airing up seems to cure it.
