I am with ya Scott....I am a huge fan of the Texas Country Singer/Songwriters and have been ever since it got started.These folks love to sing and please the crowd and most stay within the state.

Well i guess 19 year old Taylor Swift has a few fans out there. She just won the 2009 CMA "entertainer of the year" honour.The youngest person to ever win it too. it was nice to see Jamey Johnson win for single of the year too.

I was SHOCKED that Taylor Swift 'swept' the CMAs, last night.
I mean. . . her first song (opening act, I think). . . she was waaaaaaaaay off-key.
Heck, I am NO singer (I even get static on the radio!), but, I think she's over-rated.
Again. . . I prefer Faith Hill and/or Martina Mcbride. Heck, that Carrie Underwood has a pair of lungs, can sing like a bird, and is one gorgeous 'child', too!
(Little off-topic) - I hate to see Brooks & Dunn ride into the sunset. Decent duo. Class act.

she sure has made a good impression on the general public. they buy her music, go to her shows watch her music videos. she won video of the year, female vocalist of the year, album of the year, and entertainer of the year. i guess her piers have spoken.- 00blue oval ranger,as you said about off key singing, i noticed it too... everyone was off key at the cma awards. i have went to see Brooks and Dunn twice, they are the best show to go see!!! sad to see them retire.
