why not just jack up one side of the rear axle, take out the 8 bolts and pull the axle out and count the splines? it would take 15 minutes tops, just to check if in fact the 11/12 Super duty's have 35 splines
I got my hands on a new 2011 Ford 10.5 ELD. Bad news it won't work!! The problem is the new trucks don't use a sensor on the ring gear for the ABS and speedometer. I could get it all bolted in no problem, but don't want to loose the ABS and speedometer.
I did debate about taking the new carrier to a machine shop and have them machine a grove to fit the ring gear, but I decided to scrap the idea and just put another Detroit Locker in it. As in the electronics it is just a simple 2 wire connector. I would have to imagine it would of powered right up if I hooked up 12 volts to it.
So now we know!!! Don't try it unless you are willing to loose the sensor on the ring gear and have a machine shop try to put it on a big lathe and cut a groove all the way around it.
Thanks for letting us know! Maybe someone can figure out a way to make it work.
So I told a local 4 wheel drive shop that I been dealing with for 20+ years about the e-locker retrofit. He asked if he could take a crack at it and thought it would work also. Well congrats to Bill at B and F Fourwheel drive center in Taylor Michigan. My truck now has a fully operational Ford Elocker installed. He was able to transfer the "tone" ring over from my 2002 onto the new 2011 carrier with only a slight problem. The 2011 did not have a grove for the wires and he was able to take a die grinder and make a small little notch to put the wires in and presto, works like a champ.
Also had to drill a small hole in the housing and install a brass fitting to run the wires through, but it looks like a nice professional job, and works flawlessly. So I am sure once the hits the 4x4 forums those guys will start scooping up the new elockers left and right. Not to mention the truck drives so much better on the street with an "open" carrier instead of the Detroit Locker.

I recommend that you start a new thread with pics, details of installation, and contact information for BNF Four Wheel Drive Center... excellent job!
He installed it, I don't have any pics of the installation. Only thing I can do now is take a pic of the brass fitting on the side. But if anyone is interested call Bill at B and F Fourwheel drive in Taylor Michigan at 734-946-8526. He is a small shop only has two bays and basically just does repair work. Does not have any show room at all, but the guy does good work. Not sure how long he has been in business but I know he has been in business for 20 + years and does a ton of axle, transfer case, ring and pinions etc.

Wow! That is awesome news!
Are there any electric controls that will protect the locker? IE: elock disengage when going faster than 25mph? Works in 4x2, 4x4 HI, and 4x4 LO?
I wired it in myself, just wired up a 10 amp fuse on a rocker switch I mounted on the dash. The safety control is me flipping the switch. I am not to concerned about it, I drove with a full spool for awhile and its different but once you get the feeling for it, nothing to worry about. The nice thing with a spool it does break loose easy in the corners and wants to fish tail, but its very predictable and easy to correct.
I prefer driving with a locker or spool in the snow, the open thing scares me because sometimes both tires spin, sometimes not.
That is the stinky part about this, $800 is the cheapest I could find it for. New from ford they wanted $1,600. But I figured another Detroit locker is roughly $700, so I figured another 100 bucks more I will take the gamble. Not sure how many miles or anything on the one I got, but I figured being a 2011 or newer it can't be all that high.
