Hey Guys, I just got some information on the planned Sho N Tell. It will be at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio. I acquired their Day Lodge, it has a capacity of 50 people, 2 fireplaces, restroom facilities, refrgerator, electric stove, microwave and a 50 cup coffee pot. The building, unfortunately, rents for 140.00 a day. If the building is satisfactory to all of you, donations would be greatly appreciated . If not we can still use the park. From my understanding there is no charge to enter the park. The date is April 13, 2002 (Saturday) about 10:00 AM or so. The park closes at dark and opens at 8:00 AM. The more that shows up the better. Please let me know about the building so that if the majority doesn't think it necessary I can cancel it in enough time so other folks can use it. I truly hope to see you all there. Thanks again for your support.
Reply to get together; I don't know how to answer on reserving building. Do to uncertain situation on my part I don't know if can attend..That time of year it may be necessary to have a place out of weather and temp, but it makes more obligation on wether you can attend. If you decide to get building i'll try to do my share of cost if I can make it. If you decide against building I'll still try to make it along with foul weather gear.
I found this on state map in Dayton,Springfield,Cincc.area Good thing you picked this area, now EARL won't have excuse for being late but RANGER could coming from Akron area.
I think Wives should be included if they wish.
chuck
Yellow Springs is about 10-15 miles due south of Springfield. The directions I recieved is from the Akron area. 71S to 70W to US 68 take 68 going South. Turn left at State Route 343 (I was told you can only go left) 1 and half miles you will turn right on state route 370. This essentially dead ends into the park.
Chuck, By all means wives can attend if they like. I apologize if it sounded like they couldn't. I tried to make it in May or June but this lodge thing gets sucked up pretty fast. That's another thing about the lodge is the weather concerns. I hope the weather is pleasant but only Mother Nature has the say in that. If for some reason you can't come that's not a problem. If you can't be there physically, I'll bet you'll be there in spirit. Thanks again
I need to check with my social director, but if I'm available I will be there. Would you mind if I brought a few more trucks from our SD club? We're holding a mini rally in that same area the first weekend in May. It's at Beaver Valley Resort. Might be a chance to pull both groups together for the weekend since I've got roughly 100 camping sites reserved? Anyway, food for thought...
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Feb-02 AT 09:56 PM (EST)]Figured it might be nice to have a map or two for the State Park. Let me know at ghartman@woh.rr.com if you can't open either link.
Guys a little bad news, won't be able to (financially) acquire the Day Lodge. However, that shouldn't stop us from enjoying ourselves Plenty of picnic tables and so on. Other than the day lodge everything is still on. Thanks
