Could be the early signs of a wiring harness issue. I'm not sure if the CPS will cause that or not. I've never had a CPS issue (knocking on wood), but an intermittent miss is usually a sign of one or the other. Do you know which CPS you have now? The black ones are known to fail, but the gray ones are apparently not as accurate and cause strange readings during the CCT. I have the gray one in mine, and I haven't noticed any problems FWIW.

I have black one. Was replaced about 4 years ago. Last time it failed I didn't notice the wait light blinking on, but this time it happen in the dark and last time it happen in the daylight.
If the codes are down loaded will the cause show up?
I don't know why, but the first thing that came to my mind was an intermittent short in the fuel bowl heater. I believe the WTS light is on that circuit. I may be wrong. It's been known to happen. lol

Good idea on the fuel bowl, will check tonight when get home. If I make it there in the truck.
