have to call and find out i can get a completely rebuilt starter for a flathead for $150 with core and thats bench magneto tested and all that hi tech junk
keith also suggested to me to keep the 6v starter on the 12 v system becuse the 12v starters for them are garbage in his opinion. They are made crappy and hes had nothing but problems with them so even when he build motors for people he includes the 6v one
I believe a 6 volt starter can handle more amps. I'm prob full of S!$t though. But its like horsepower is volts and torque is amps. Torque is what counts.
