Cruise Control Light...
I was wondering if there is a way to replace the light inside the steering wheel cruise control buttons ? I have a '98 Explorer Sport and the lights work on the right side of the steering wheel, but not the left side. Is this an easy/inexpensive fix...if even possible ?
Thanks !
Scott
E5RY*13466*BA , its from a ford contour,
and fits perfectly, the bulb is slightly longer
but in no way hinders operation.
Disconnect battery. wait 5 minutes.
Remove two bolts holding steering wheel air bag. Set aside air bag.
Remove screws holding cruise switches. Carefully pry the rubber cover from the switch and replace bulbs. Reinstall in reverse order. Takes longer to to write the steps than it does to replace the bulbs. At least for me.
Ford says to replace switch and harness assy for $65.00
