trailer hitch

I would like to install a Class 4 trailer hitch on my '76 F350, supercab, but I'm concerned about fitment. I have the factory chrome bumper, and a spare tire mounted in the OEM location (between frame rails at rear of truck). Is anyone running a hitch with this configuration, and if you are, could you please tell me what your recommendation would be for a model/manfacturer.

Will the hitch be a bolt-on, or will it require some "fabbing" and welding?

Thanks

I looked at a hitch made by Quality S. I was able to take it out to my truck and see how it would fit and it fit fine with the factory bumper and a 31" tire for a spare. It would require drilling for 8 bolts on the bottom of the frame. I didn't end up buying one so no pictures, but that hitch was built really stout. This was on my '79 F150, btw. I don't know if our frames are the same or not.

RESSE makes a hitch that will bolt right on (or you can weld it if you want) for your application but you will have to move the spare; I don't know of a hitch that would work with the spare in its factory location. Your other option would be to take the truck to a fab shop and see if they can make a custom setup.
