Not bad at all! What does it get unloaded running 60-70mph?
never really checked. i either spend time in the city at around 30 or in the summer going to the beach or camping. for a while i was driving around 45 min each way to work down the highway. with the 4 speed in it was costing me a tank every day and a half, after the tranny change was a tank every 3.5 days min. could have gone further but i was working 12 hour nights and my guage is a little off.lol

Wow, that's a big change! I'm assuming that's w/ the typical 3.50 gear?
going from the farmer 4 to aod was really nice. the farmer 4 was almost like an automatic anyways, by the time i started and made it through the light i was in fourth already. glad for overdrive. i save about $40 a day in gas.
My 302 2v C4 worn out combo gets between 14-16mpg depending on me.
I drive it to work about 70 miles per day every 3 days I put between 13-15 gallons in her. My fuel gauge is unreliable so when I hit 220-230 miles I fill her up *miles are calculated on GPS that is always in use, speedo is useless too.
not much of a story but after reading the thread I am looking for a AOD to bolt up to my 40 year old in need of rebuild 302.
Not too shabby! The most I ever got out of my '72 was 12 w/ a Cleveland. I did get 14 w/ a '79 on 35s w/ a 4-spd & stock 3.50 gears! I built that engine pretty strong, though.
my '72 f100 351W with a C6 got 12-13, keep in mind i was 16...so Anthony kinda had a lead foot . man i miss that thing, wouldnt go a lick past 67 mph, but would get there in a hurry. transmission just quit out about a year ago. grrr, more projects than money as always...
