puked, first time, need help

my 07 6.0 with 55k puked for the first time while towing bobcat just a few miles.
70 degree weather
sct on economy tune
no white smoke
oil looks fine
temp guages stayed didn't show truck getting hot, ran in the middle as normal

i programmed sct back to stock and hasn't puked anymore.

i live over and hour from the dealer and not sure if its covered by warrenty, dealer says to bring it in and they will look at it.

i tried towing the bobcat again and the fan/cooler? kicked on high after a couple miles

any sugestions

What is your water level in degass bottle? You should be covered. Thy is if they dont void your warenty for running a turnner. These trucks carry a engine warenty of 5 years or 100,000 miles. If your fan is comming on then you probably have something wrong. GL

My 04 had the same problem pulling my 6500lb boat to Hatteras and Back. Normal indications on the temp guage but engine fan running all the time and puking out the degass. Turned out that the oil cooler was almost totally blocked with casting sand so egr cooler was getting almost no flow. Still have the oil cooler and can photo if you are curious. Replaced both new + had a ss plug welded into the inlet of the egr cooler so no more exhaust flow through that. No check engine lights engine runs great and just went through NJ inspection. BTW 04 f250 with 03 build engine. No more engine fan running either. I installed a coolant filter system as soon as I got it back from the mechanic. Total cost to repair $2500 (no warrantee) total cost of the filter about 70 or so using the NAPA system. No mods to the truck other than the filter.

There is a TSB that provides some good information on coolant puking, the number is 06-3-8. If you will go to the Full Text TSB section of the forum and enter this number in the field labeled View By TSB Number you should be able to read the entire bulletin.
