hey guys.
88 302 5.0 where can I purchase a smog pump delete pully I did some serching but it was all to pull the pump out and horsepower?
My second question is I baught a new vacum hose my old one was cracked...same lenght but I think it was actully like a ruber fuel line maby?
Well my question is the hole seems to be a bit smaller in the new hose then in the stock one. Does this matter
Thanks
If memory serves me correctly, when I deleted the smog pump from my 5.0L truck I found a belt listing at the parts store for "without air pump" and used that. I know for certain that I didn't replace the pump with an idler.
Edit: I did a quick search. You'll find some information here:
Blue I called the auto store they dont carry a delete pully or a belt thats shortens...I checked summit out and I kinda had a hard time finding that..Is it actully a delete pully?
To be honest I have no idea what im gona do about the holes what you you guys recomment...and how big are they?
thanks Conanski that might be all that's wrong with my current engine. it runs very lean stumbles, doesn't burn any oil but it blows black stuff out the tail pipe and uses too much gas. but i still going to put in a refreshed block.

Ah- yes. Add one more to the list of motors that have been "improved" by the removal of smog equipment.........
i'll have to wait until i get back from this deployment to plug the holes on the new heads that i'm getting. then we will see how much power i can make.....
