There is a nice 68 Ford LTD with hideaway headlights up for auction. It says front damage. Well sheetmetal wise I do not see it. It may be suspension damage since the right side seems to be sitting lower. Starting bid at $800 Body is nice looks like newer paint.
It is in Saskatoon.
Also a 20ft Trailtech trailer in Regina. The bid starts at 3800. It had a fire on it. That price is a bit high to start with I think.
Also a nice truck in Meadowlake with 400000 km on it. But really nice paint and hood. I could not see the damage.
And another one in Saskatoon says leftside , But again I could not see damage. White crewcab, KMS nearly 300000. Biding starts around 2800 for it.
Have a look guys.
I think they have been uping the prices a bit much on some of these units. Especially when a person has to get inspections done.
Alot of vehicles simply aren`t worth the inspections so they`ll become parts vehicles. In some cases there is obviously no structural damage since minor damage totals older vehicles but structal inspection is still required. That makes no sense to me.
This one looks to be all done, Maybe just a minor repair. Of course SGI rights it up as a big job and the car is written off due to what the shop rates are to SGI. To you and me they are usually less.
I tried to copy the posts here, but it will not let me. The 97 Truck looks great except the hi KMs. But it being up north would explain the KM's
If it was a 1948 or 1958 I'd be a lil more interested. Only thing a 1968 is good for is a destruction derby, and as I hear they aren't even good at that
This LTD is the top of theline with the hideaway headlight and grill. The car looks well done restoration.
The 68 would not do well as demoderby. Has coil spring rearend. They tend to pop out. I agree with Morris about the older models for demo. More meat to bend. The 48 has a weak back frame thou.
It still nice to see these old classic cars. They may not be a muscle car. But if you look on Sgi they have a 66 chev 4dr they are asking quite a bit more for it. I'm sorry the ford is worth more.
I just don't like the 49-51 ford car style. The rear frame on them are weak.
I like several different vehicles. I actually would hate to see any of these old cars in a demo derby these days. There was a demo derby I was at and the guy had a 57 Chev 2dr ht in. It folded in half. The floor was all rotted. There was a lot of spectators groaning about that car.
If I was to demo derby a car it would be a 80's LTD. They seem to prove themselves well.
