I finally got around to installing my lights. what a job. i'd say measuring and getting my arm above the headliner to do things were the hardest parts. once i measure 15 times i quickly got over the fear of drilling the holes because i knew they would be right. SOme info for some of you that do not know how diodes work. I bought the LED type lights. LEDs use a diode circuit. the connectors in the kit are bidirectional(plug in either way). diodes flow energy one way. i realized this after hooking up all my lights and only 1 worked. as a test i reveresed my + and - wires and the other 4 came on and the orginal went out. Just some advise when installing, hook up your power first. that way as you plug them in to the harness you will immediatly know if you plugged it in correctly. standard bulb setups usually do not matter. thats why you can plug your license plate lights in either way.
Subscribing. I too, wish to do these as well. Pics would be great if you can get them! Isn't it a fairly simple wiring hook up to a harness in the passenger footwell somewhere?
I don't know how to upload pics directly to the thread but i added them to my gallery. I got the amber lenses. As far as the harness, i did not find an open plug in my kick panel. i found the harness that went up to my overhead console. after i bit of testing with a test light, the BROWN wire is the wire you would want to splice into. i'll add some night pics soon

Thanks for that! Nice job. I'll do mine soon too. Makes a big difference in our trucks road presence. BTW, did you do do hole saw or step bit? I'm thinking to go with the step bit. Seems a little faster. Reps to ya'.
I had cab lights on my 88 dually but on this F250 I'm kinda likin' it without them. I like the look both ways!! How's that for an indecisive opinion!!! HAHAHA!!
Great job Tex!
I LOVED the cab lights that were on that custom lowered dually racecar hauler... it was in Diesel Power magazine with a black Cobra... both were SICK!! I'll look for a pic, but they were super low profile... and one-off customs, of course... ugh
EDIT: found the article HERE - scroll partway down and there are 3 pics inline. The one on the right is the cablights.... sweetness...
Sweet, how do you post in the thread so i know for future reference. i did use the step but. i tried being cheap and thought i could get away with a regular bit on my first hole. big mistake. messed up the metal a little. had to flatten it out. thats when i went and got a step bit
