E4OD Shift Linkage

Hey guys, Through an act of stupidity, I killed my '90 Bronco. Without too many details, lets just say something tried to exit the transmission...violently. I found a '93 F-150 with a recently rebuilt tranny, but a bad engine, so I yanked the tranny out of it. Once I got it home, and had it side by side with my old one, I noticed a slight difference in the shift linkage post. The '90 post is about 2" long, with a linkage arm coming right off it. The '93 is about 3" long with no arm, and the last inch or so is threaded. I didn't realize the difference till I had them both side by side, and didn't pull any of the linkage off. Is it just a matter of finding the linkage arm that bolts to the tranny or can I swap posts fairly easily ? I'll have a couple pics of the two uploaded to my gallery in a bit. Any advice is appreciated !!
