Bill I am new to this forum, obviously you are the man. I have a 65 f100 # 651--- If I read correctly it should have a one speed witch? Currently the wipers are not working and the switch is a two speed. Also, should there be a washer (electric ) ? Thank you very much for all the great info on this forum.

Reviving this thread because after reading many posts about the one speed wiper switch, and the fact that no one NOW is selling it, what are the options. I was trying into looking into two speed switches and just splicing in spade connectors to the back of the switch but I am not sure if this will work. I am going to attempt to rebuild the switch but failed twice already.
Does anyone know of other ways to not have to buy a two speed motor and setup just because the C3UZ-17A553-G switch is obselete now? I even tried calling around for the Econoline switch and its gone too.
Similar years of the Fairlane, Falcon, Econoline and Galaxie all yeilded the same results, nothing for the one speed switch.

Thanks Numberdummy, I have seen all these switches but none will be a direct plug and play fit, so some splicing of spade connectors will need to get done, my only hesitation in buying one of them is that there are fewer wire connections. You have that there is one C3UZ-17A553-C at NOS but when I look it up is says out of stock.
I am willing to take any switch that will work properly and splice the wires into it, but at around 40 bucks a pop I dont want to have to keep buying switches to figure out which will work, I am not the best at electrics so its one of these or a universal switch like this one which is pretty ugly.
Universal Windshield Wiper Switch for Single Motor (is a two speed but only kind of universal I have found for a single wiper motor)
Mine is a 5 terminal one speed no washer switch, four for the switch and one located at the bottom for power.
Will a three terminal C3UZ-17A553-D work just as fine as long as the correct wires are hooked up? Will the wiper park feature still work correctly?

Here's that one NOS switch that it says is in stock.
C3UZ-17A553-C | RearCounter.com | 1 found at 1 seller
Call the Mustang Service Center and see what they can do for you.
But, if it were me I'd switch (no pun intended) to a two speed wiper motor if you don't have one already and just get the newer intermittent wiper switch and governor and make an improvement out of the project. It is a clean and simple install to do. Lots of donor vehicles out in the world to get the parts from. The newer switch also activates the electric washer pump motor so you don't have to have a separate switch for that.

Have you opened the original switch to take a peak at the failure mode of that thing? Naturally replacement is a lot easier than repair but in this situation when the part is now unobtanium it's worth looking at. It's not a high tech component. ON and OFF, right? I bet you could cannibalize the innards from something else if needed.
