Twin Turbo?
So lately i've been thinking about puting a turbo in my 6.9L. And as i thought, it dawned on me. Twin Turbo! With twin stacks in the bed 
.
So was just wondering if anyone has done this before. Probably has been, and if anyone could think of any complications that would arise. Got a buddy i go to school with, he's pretty good with turbo's on diesels, but never worked on many ford's let alone a diesel this big. lol
biggest thing i could think of is making some custom exhaust minifolds since it most likely would be a custom set-up.

The problem is easy.
Without internal engine modifiactions running much over 10 or 12 PSI will blow the head gaskets.
With a 22.5 to 1 base compression ratio 12 pounds of boost makes for an effective compression ratio of almost 41 to 1.
A single turbo can easily produce more than that.
