Question Shifting Rough

Here recently.....my truck that i got about 2 weeks ago now just started shifting a little rough. It seems like its slamming into the gears. The tranny fluid is fine while running in neutral. No leaks and so on.... I have no idea on the maintenence done to the tranny. What would yall reccomend on going about to solve the problem. Tranny flush and fluid exchange and new filter? The level is normal and I was thinking about adding Lucas Oil Transmission fix to it reason being that I've used it in the past (with Ford Rangers) and it worked like a champ. Is that reccomended or would yall advise that? It has just over 200,000 miles.

Thanks!

Tim,
I would start with a trans fluid exhange and filter and add the lucas. I have the 4R100 in my truck early 99 and I now have 229,000 miles on the trans. I also have Blackstone perform an analysis on the oil as well. Make sure you change out all the fluid from the TC, cooler and lines. Do not use any flush or chemicals. Not sure where to go from there for hard shift.

I would disconnect the bullydog and see if the shifts improve. Some of the off the shelf tuners will mess with our trans. I don't add anything to my tranny fluid.
