I know this is an old thread but I'm seeking more info on this GM cross steer conversion. It appears that I've bought a dropped axle that once ran this conversion and I was curious what steering box it takes and if there were any additional brackets (for box mounting) that are needed. I'm in the debate on what I want to do with this setup, sell or keep, as I have already done the Toyota P/S conversion but not 100% happy with it with my application and what I'd like to do. Has anyone else done or have more pictures of this GM conversion in their truck? I'd like to know how the box mounts and their thoughts of it.
Here's a pics of the axle and steering I picked up.

No personal experience with it, but in researching for the PS conversion article I wrote, the reports were it had a very large turning radius, so it wasn't very popular. Mid Fifty used to sell the conversion kit, so a call to them may be able to provide more info. What don't you like about the Toyota conversion?
