high idle for winter

high idle for winter
i got a 01 F-250 diesel and i don't want to spend the money on a idle controller right now. does anyone know how to just make like an "high idle switch"? the truck idles up by it's self when its cold, but i want to be able to do it manualy to keep it warm.
Hook it, I'll pull it.
