just a shot in the dark here but when an alternator is bad the truck starts shutting off everything electrical to keep the engine running. the engine is the last thing to shut off......could be it isnt putting out the 13.5+ it is supposed to.

that could be possible because there is a wining noise from the engine just thought it was a belt

I had the same problem. I finally got fed up and wiggled under the steering column. I had the key in the ignition and the radio turned on. I finally traced it back to a relay attached to the steering column. The relay was loose and probably wasn't grounded. I snapped the relay back onto the steering column and all is well.
