I don't know how the 92-93 wheel is done, but on 94+ you remove 4 nuts and the air bag comes out. Is it not at all like that.
You will probably need this.
Performance Tool Steering Wheel Puller, Model# W150 | Ball Joint, Bearing + Gear Repair | Northern Tool + Equipment
Advance or Orielly etc may have this available in the loaner tools.

I found this:
Unsnap the horn cover from the steering wheel by grasping the sides of the horn cover and pulling toward yourself.
Disconnect the horn/speed control wire harness connector. Remove cover from wheel.
From there I loosen the steering wheel retaining nut a few turns, then I pull on the steering wheel with my hands on both sides of the wheel. It takes a pretty good tug to get the wheel loose. Make sure you still have plenty of threads on the retaining nut. When the wheel does pop loose the nut is the only thing keeping you from slamming your head into the rear window.

Thanks! Yeah that makes sense. My '75 250 and 84 Bronco had the other style that was a quick two screws and a pull or puller. This one made me nervous. I pulled it up in the back at the base but didn't want to brake the molding and have a bum wheel until I could track down a new one. Nor would it be good to have ripped the connector loose.
