Step Side Bed Question
i found a faily nice 60 model bed for sale with tailgate for 100.00 my question is what year trucks are the same as 60? will this bed work on 53-56 trucks? Mike

The bed should work. Ford used the same basic bed box from mid 1950 up through the late 70's and the same fenders from 53 on up. At some point (I think in the mid to late 60's) the rear fenders got moved up a couple of inches on the bedside. No biggie, you would just have to redrill them in the correct place if that were the case.
Keep in mind that the 1/2 ton beds are unique....the larger truck beds are wider and longer.
Good luck, $100 for a decent bed and tailgate is a good price.
