Power seat problems
Hey guys, Im putting together my interior on this old beast 1975 f100 4x4 ranger xlt. I tried installing the power seat today. I noticed right away that i cannot get bolts into the rails without moving the seat forward or back. Since it is a power seat i tried hooking a pos and neg to it. It worked for a second or two then the motor would only spin in one direction only some of the time. I think it might have a bad relay on the motor, because it spins in one direction and not the other. I also noticed a few sparks coming from the cable box. I dont know what that means. I can hear the gears in the cable gear box clicking. I believe it is doing its job. The motor seems to be the problem. Is there anywhere that i can buy a relay for this seat? Does anyone have any suggestions?
