I'm looking for a 'pull it yourself' junk yard around Atlanta. Most of the ones that I have found around on the south side of Atlanta are tied into that computer system search deal now. They want just as much as going to Ford!
I am trying to find a cruise control servo for a 97 Explorer w/ 5.0. Think mine has died on me. They are right at $200 my cost from Ford.
There are several junkyards in the Norcross area. I went to one called Pull Apart (or something like that) with the tag line - Best little strip joint in Atlanta. I think they were on Bufford Hwy (US23) They charged a fee to go in and look, but you could take your own parts off if that's what you want.
If you head out US 411 from Cartersville towards Rome there is a huge Junkyard on the right about halfway to Rome, makes me drool everytime I see it.

Yup - the yard there on 411 is pretty neat; I stop by frequently and use my Gold card there as I live in Kingston. Stop by and see me sometime - I live near the pig farm
You may want to try Marietta Salvage which is near the Big Chicken off of Frey's Gin Road. I've use them a couple of times for parts for my '66 and they have let me go in and pull my own stuff. Prices seem pretty reasonable.
