The other problem you run into is that for the ZF I think you need a Hydraulic clutch, which my 1980 does not have (not even a plate that can be knocked out to install one). So unless your '82 has that, you mght have to do some hacking...

Another thing to watch out for is in '92 ford switched to electronic speedo, so there is no provision for the speedo cable if the truck is a 2wd, otherwise on 4wd it goes into the transfer case and in that case it would'nt cause a problem.
