There is an 04 and 05 sitting in Bryan OH, at a carlot, didn't catch the name. It was on highway 2. do a search... a white eddie bauer and a black XLT.

I have owned one 7.3 and two 6.0L trucks prior to this 04Ex with 6.0L dsl. I have not had any issue with any of the trucks with respect to the motor/tranny. I actually prefer the 6.0 because I like the tranny programmability better. they all had plenty power. Even though Ihave th 04, I like the O5 best of all, cause it has a few more goodies inside like stereo controls on the wheel...

I would not be afraid of the 6.0L its very well supported and parts are in great supply. I have pulled a 14,000 pound horse trailer with a 6.0 stock on a 4.30 rearend dually. I have also pulled that same trailer at 12,000 (my max) with my F-250 with 3.73 and tembrens a little bit (gooseneck). It pulled just fine, just alot of toungue weight.

My everyday driver now is a 6.0 excursion.. love it so far... had it a month.. Its about to turn 100K..

I did like the 7.3 very much then, but I have pulled much heavier loads with the 6.0 just due to what I was doing then.

help any?

I have seen Ex's at both places. I hope this helps.

As for the 7.3L I had a 97 4x4 250 PSD with 4:10's and got 21mpg on my 100 mile round trip to work every day.
that is awesome mileage. "custom tune" ??

21 mpg with 4.10's ?????? I would check the decimal place on that calculator

My tuned Ex with 3.73's downhill has shown that, actually on our last trip from dfw to Mem it did show 22.3 on the overhead..... but that was when we were content to drive slowly and draft on a large car

Maybe you can tell from my signature with the 3 Ex's that I somewhat am happy with them ?

my 2 6.ohs have been awesome.... only problems I had were with the 7.3, so go figure .....

good luck on your hunt !

I'm keeping my last of breed as long as possible.....
