Quick question (engine warranty)

I have a belt/pulley squeek that I have had since I bought the truck at 30K miles. When it was still under bumper to bumper they put me a new belt and idler (maybe tensioner, cant remember) and it fixed it for about a week. I know there is a TSB about PS pump pulley alignment, anyone know if this would be part of the 100K warranty? I need to take it in for an injector problem so figured if I could get this fixed all for my $100 ded. that would be great, or if I need to bite the bullet and fix it myself.

Do you know the TSB number? I don't think I have seen that one.

The idler or tensioner should be covered by the base warranty, if that is what is bad. Even if you have an alignment issue w/ the PS pump pulley as the "root" cause, I would bet that Ford will still say the PS pump pulley is not covered.

And I would cover your bet!

Thank you for posting the TSB! Another one to add to the collection.

Ford's position (at least locally and in my experience) has been that repairs according to TSB's follow the warranty. In other words, if the TSB is on an engine component - it is covered until 5 yr, 100k. If it is on a chassis component, it is only covered until 3 yr, 36k.
