It seems to be getting more popular and I thought about getting one myself. So far there doesn't seem to be enough info out there to be sure. I've seen a TV show where they installed a solid state device on an inboard drive for a salt water powerboat in place of a regular zinc block. These folks seem to think its a scam:
Some heavy oil is usually what works best. Not original, but it works.
I'm still tempted to try it eventially because the underside of the vehicle does tend to get coated in a later of salty water in the winter, so their put down argument isn't completely sound.
But I don't think anyone here uses it.
I just pulled the seat and carpet out of my truck and used POR15 on the floorpan and door sills. It had alot of surface rust, but i think this stuff is really good. It penetrates the steel and rust . It creates a pretty hard surface too.
