I have a '52 F1. The door handle on the inside has a spring on the inner side of the door that returns the handle to the correct position and holds it. Does anyone know where to find these springs? I bought another set of door locks and the same springs were missing from them. I am going to have to make a set or does anyone have a better idea? Thanks
There are actually three different threads that had all the info. These two were more about repair of the lock at the bolt and as you may have noticed, at this point those have been refered and re refered so many times, you have links in links.
The spring I think you are talking about is the one that holds the interior handle up and in the locked position. They do not make those but another member found one that is close enough and works.
I'm sure the number is up in all that info above somewhere (and those are really good threads to read through anyway). But here is the thread that IDs the spring substitute - post #7
