hey guys i don't post often cause can't type worth pinch of coon snuff. so here goes. my buddy has an 02 3/4 ton 4/4 and when he is pulling hard his ses light comes on. he asked me to ask you guys if that because the computer was defeuling, thanks in advance because i know that you guys are very helpful.
does he have any mods done, does he have gauges. what does he have that isn't stock. with some mods and pulling hard my first guess would be a SES light due to over boosting.
My 02 does the same thing when pulling a hill.
It always goes out after awhile.
I have a Edge in mine.
Ive always thought it was something to do with the Edge but there wasnt anything I could do about it so I just ignore it .
Whats "overboosting" and what can you do about it?
Out trucks are set to start defeling at about 24lbs of boost, if your computor sees more than that it will sense an overboost situation and start cutting the fuel to bring down the boost. Usually in a hard pulling high throttle setting when this happens, usually will set the ses light, throw a code, but after a number of starts if the computor does not sense this anymore it will turn the light off.

We can open our exhaust to 4in tubro back or 5in. Cold air intake. And the put an OBA on. Overboost anhilator. Spelling? Boost fooler for the computor
well you guys come through again. i will print that page from the last post and show it to him. he's pretty mechanecilly inclined so he should be able to figure it out.
