The interior trim and the ford badge on the grill are part of the cosmetic changes that were made for 1985. I remember reading that 84 and older don't have the blue oval on the grill and there was more chrome accents on the plastic interior panels before 1985 (also heard that tachometer was not available until 1985). Although short of a VIN, its hard to verify any of it for sure.

Not sure if there is one on the cab (should be), but there is one on the forward most bed support cross beam. Riveted into the cross beam. I noticed the rangers have one right on the engine side of the firewall.
