Are the LED lights the DRL? I looked on Recon's site, but it wasn't too clear...in fact didn't see LED mentioned on any of the headlights. I'll be the first to admit, it took me a minute to get used to the lights because they look so different...but I think the new headlights look great on your ride. One thing is for sure...that truck can't be considered a sleeper, too much showing on the outside.

Thanks! I know what you mean about getting used to it. I've been searching for headlights for a long time. Alot of the halo/projector lights looked cheap. And I didn't like the look if they had the silver background. Then Recon came out with their own version. Since I have most of their smoked lights I gave em a shot. Quite happy with them so far.

I wanted to make the Halo's and the LED's the daytime running lights but I don't know what wire is the DRL power...... If I can find that out I will change it. Hopefully I could wire the DRL power and the marker light power to the Halo/LED's.

Mmmmm, very nice! I especially like the 5 Audi-ish lights along the bottom. What did they cost if you don't mind? How much better are they at night? Mine are OK, even with the Silverstars in them, but they could be brighter. My hi-beams don't make a huge difference, not like the wifes X5 does.

Cool, they look great on your truck. I have to agree, the dark background in them fits your truck nice. Now a white truck like mine I'm not to sure if the dark ones would look right????

I think this is the kit he picked up:

Recon Accessories: Part # 264193BK - SMOKED Projector Headlights Ford Superduty 05-07

When this thread started, I ran over to Recon to see what they had to offer. Looks like they're going to set you back some Franklins; but if they light up the night better than the OEM headlights...that would be outstanding.

They've got clear one's listed, though just like the smoked...it depends on your specific model. I had thought the headlights were overall the same from '99 to '07...but apparently there are some suttle differences when Ford tweak the SD.

OOFA! Suddenly, mine don't seem so bad. Prolly pick up some auxiliary Hellas for less than that? Thanks for the reply.

Ouch$$$ They sure look nice though! I can pick up two pair of, KC HiLites Rally 8 inch 130 watt long range lights for that amount of dough. And then toss in another $250 for KC front light bar, and I like the looks of these.

The clear ones would look sharp on your truck though!
