Power Module

Hey guys looking for some advice on power modules for my trucks,

1st is a 96 F150 5.0 auto 4x4

2nd is a 94 F150 4.9 5 speed 4x4

what would be the best all around modules or chips for them?

thanx

The best chip is the one in the stock computer!!! Save your money on the add on chip stuff for these model years, they WON"T HELP anything!!

Bump the timing up a few degrees to like 13° or 14° just don't go too far and make it ping it's guts out, open up the exhaust up with headers and less restrictive mufflers.

There are several things that help but these are all I can think of right now.. Past my bed time!!! Maybe some one will have more soon...

I agree. The chips, hot air intakes, and throttle body spacers are all junk.

If you want your truck to run good you can do what White97 said.

Also, just a complete tune up with good parts and fresh fluids and filters will go a long way.

It should be fine to do it to a truck with higher miles. You won't gain tons of power, but it will run better.

Are you sure it's 16 degrees, did you remove the spout plug to measure it?

You don't want it bumped up that high. Unplug the spout connector. Its like the vacuum advance to put it simply.

Its not a vacuum line though. It is an electonic connector. The computer advances the timing.
