Rebuilding leaf pack
I have a broken leaf spring on my left side. I bought a brand new spring pack for cheap but its rated for more weight. My question is is it safe to keep my main spring and just use the top 3 from the new spring pack to rebuild my spring without replacing the other side (the main spring on the new pack is the only one that looks a lot more heavy duty)? I would replace the other side but dont want to put another 150$ and the time into it if i dont have to.

Put a C clamp on the spring before you remove the center bolt. After you have the bolt out, slowly loosen the C clamp. then after you change out the broken spring, put the C clamp back on and tighten it fown, then install the new center bolt.
