Towing mirror plastic

Can the backside of the tow mirrors be replaced? I am thinking not but I had mine broken the other day and half of the plastic is missing now. Anybody know where to get cheap mirrors if this can't be replaced?

Be careful of aftermarket mirrors. I replaced one on my Jimmy and it never stops wiggling when I'm driving. Hard to see exactly what's behind you. The original wasn't that way. I'm still looking to replace it with one from a parts yard. That or ebay might be your best bet. If just the plastic can be replaced without changing the whole mirror, that would be a good deal. Sorry, I don't know if it can.

The back half can be replaced-I have done it-if your passengers side mirror is the one that is broken I may have an extra, so pm or email me if you are interested.

It's the driver side mirror, thanks for the offer. Where did you get the parts for the back half?

I bought a used non-telescoping mirror on e-bay and swapped out the plastic parts when mine broke. I had a mirror back but I think I threw it away when I moved last spring. If I still have it and can find it i'd give it to you.

There are several different types/sizes of the towing mirrors.

Ed can get them for you... I clipped mirrors with some yahoo in a rented motor home while towing my TT with my '03 in Yosemite a few years ago.
Jerk was over the center line, going about 40-50 in a 25 mph work zone.

I also need some plastic for my drivers side mirror, I need the trim part that covers where it bolts to the door on the out side. Anybody have a old drivers side mirror?

I have a mostly complete passenger side mirror free to anyone who wants it. The plastic is in good shape it's missing the glass for the upper and lower mirrors.
