I have a 93 f150 with a 5.0 MAF. I have long tube headers, 2.5 dual exhaust, super 40's flowmaster mufflers, K&N FIPK kit with trothel body spacer and E6SE heads open right up on the exhaust side, intake just gasket match. The truck pulls real hard all the way up to the shift point on the trany, it feels strong. I was planing on put in a bigger cam but the motor is starting to burn oil now. So I dont know if I should just rebuild bottom end, or strock it to a 331??
See thats the problem, I just put over $1000 in these heads, springs, retainers, valves and head work. There bramd new now. Pnly been on truck for a month.
Ouchies That's not good. If you have receipts maybe you could sell them and recoup some of the cost. Doubt you will get anywhere near the money invested, but at least something is better than $0

Ouch!! I'm sure you have seen it stated here before that it's not cost effective to put any money into the stock heads so I won't beat you too hard with that bat, you have the money spent now so consider it a lesson learned.
As for your motor you're not experiencing anything close to it's full potential with the stock cam, it barely opens the valves so I'd suggest you upgrade that regardless if you build the bottom end or not. If you go the stroker route get as much displacement as you can, more inches means more TQ and trucks can use all of that.
As far tq goes, I am going to be running 4.56 gears with 35" boggers. I know they take power to turn them in the mud. I would like to use my stupid mistakes till I build a strocker with my other 5.0. So I was thinking go max over bore. 10.5 - 1 and a big cam.
