Will this work 5.50 back-space

I am trying to find out if a 20x9 wheel with 5.50 back space on 37x13.50 tire will work on a 6 inch lifted 2000 Excursion??? I know 4.5 is stock but what would be the problems I would run in to

From what I recall, backspacing is calculated from the back lip of the rim so a 5.5" bs would cause your tire to rub on either the leafs or some other suspension part.

I agree with CanadianSmokie. You're gonna want 4.5" backspacing to minimize tire rub on the leafs.
