problem brakes
i have a 85 f250 4x4 4spd with inline 6. the problom i am having is i just put a powerbooster and master cylinder form a 92 f250 2wd and found out the the abck nut on the master cylinder is a drifferent size and cant get the flaring tool and the nut on the line. so iwas wondering if i use the line form the 92 would it cause a problem because the bends are drifferent and i real dont want to change the whole brake system right now. also was in U- pull- it yard and saw that some one put a brass nut in the same hole to block it off does this work.

I just looked at autozone, and they have two different re-manufactured master cylinders, one for $18.00 and the other for $20.00 that will fit your truck. It's not worth the hassle to try to fit that other one on there.

you can buy brass adapters, or re=flare the line to use the fitting from the 92. don't put a plug in it, you will be blocking off your brakes. not good. easiest solution is to do as franklin2 said.

Isn't that a proportioning valve on the newer model trucks? I got some PVC coated brake line at NAPA and that stuff works great, has anyone else used it. You can get those brake lines with 2 different size flare ends.
