well i dont know about the 56,but i have a 50 m-68,i was able to swap my 8 bolt front hubs and backing plates for a 53 f-1 5 bolt.it was very easy to do,once i figure out what i needed it was only about 45 minutes to change over both sides.
where do you live,if you need them i still have my 8 bolt hubs and plates.

anyone correct me please, but I believe 53-56 use the same axle so it looks like the '50 brakes will fit. I'm by Chicago.

well if you cant find any thing local let me know.we can work out some kind of deal.bad timing ,my hardwood lumber rep was here on tuesday,he is driving back to Cleveland how,shipping would have being free or close to it.
