I need to check, but were we/you talking about IDM being a possibility? What were the symptoms again?

Have you thought it might be the IDM (Injector Drive Module)? Normally they fill with water/condensation you can check it 2 ways unbolt it and shake it and listen for water, or barrow someone elses and install to see if it will start. 1/4' 10 mil. socket w/ratchet will do it. Its the silver module on the drivers side fender next to the firewall near the hood spring. If it has water in it it is NO GOOD. The stealership wants $800-$1000 for the piece of shjunk w/core, you can find em in the junkyard for about $50, just shakem before you buy it.

Could be, have any contact cleaner? I would spray it on and let it dry (about 3-5 minutes max). Also there is a "breather cap" with 4(?) holes in it, is it intact?

Put the IDM back in & unplug the ICP connector , sometimes that will un stick the IPR....While you are there , look for oil leaking from the ICP sensor ...

It is a 3 wire plug to the right of the fuel filter that plugs in to the head or block? (It's been a lil while since Iv'e been over there) You will know it when you see it.
