'89 pedal assembly?

'89 pedal assembly?
I've found a reasonably priced complete pedal assembly for running a manual gearbox....but its out of an '89. Will this be significantly different to mount up in my '83 auto?

Dammit. I was somewhat optimistically hoping that because there does seem to be a lot of interchangable bits between the two generations this would be one of them.

i have a set out of a 88 in mine.. it doesnt mount up to the dash like the older ones do.. i had to do ALOT of work to mount it.. its just plain not worth it.. when i press my clutch i get a creeking sound like its getting weak..
