Would it be possible to port the 5.8 lower intake to match up to the 5.0 truck upper? I am not looking for big horsepower- just thinking that if it can be done it would be worthwhile.

 

It's been done before...I've even seen pictures. I think it was farther down the main page in the small block forum. I'm not sure what the results were from a performance standpoint, though.

 

The 5.0 ports are pretty radically shaped compared to the 5.8, I don't think there is enough material to copy it exactly but a heavy breathing 5.8 would certainly benefit from a better flowing intake. However it's hardly worth the effort unless the motor has better than stock heads.
