Well you got that truck at a good price.
Back in Sept. I saw a 79 4x4 at that guy in Love. It was rough. The guy figured he get over a 1000 for it. I think he was asking $2500 for it. Interior was shot and there were dents and bangs to the body. Sheldon will know of the guy. The guy smokes the hallucingenic stuff.
I don't have a decent box here, They all have some rust issues..

I haven`t come across anything yet, I haven`t had any time to look around though.
Usually anything near 1979 is rusted out quite bad.

thanks.
i think that when you are woking on a vehicle no matter what it is or what your doing you shouldnt skimp cause not only are you dealing with your own life, your dealing with your passengers, other people on the road and pedestrians.

i try to do things as right as i can or that i know of, but sometime progess is slow because i am a broke highschool student. finishing up grade 12 this year then siast in september.

Hey!!
decided i would pop in and say hello since i dont get around here too often anymore.
a little update on myself:
parked the isuzu in the garage, its having running problems. i rebuilt the top end during oct/nov and during that time i picked up a 1977 porsche 924 to cruise around in. first snow came and i did a 540 on 22np under the overpass and i decided to park it. a new truck fell into my lap so i drove the isuzu till new years then parked it AGAIN.
what did i get?

1990 f150 single cab short box. pretty much my dream truck except its an auto. under the hood is the boat anchor stock 351 that was rebuilt by over christmas and now with roughly 1500km on the new engine it has been absolutely trouble free; with the exceptiong of a clutch fan ceasing and a bad powersteering leak.
its also a PIG on gas!

might(hopefully) be picking up a taurus from my boss next week. i am working at Thanes Big T Automotive these days and have been there for around 6-7 months. love it, great place. only downside since i am graduating this year*yes i am that young) and school takes the majority of my time, i only wokr 1.5 hours a day and 2 on thursdays unless i have no school. looking for a job from 6 pm or so on, but being mechanically inclined and from the farm i cant just sit around and want to be more hands on then pumping gas.

keeping my eye out for and old for truck(still), 5 speed ford festiva, and or a first gen VW rabbit.

anyways, enough about me, how are al you guys? i am sure there are a few newcommers around that i havent met.
hows the projects, post photos i'm very interested!

also, i havent seen a thread yet, anyone plan anything for Draggins, Show and Shine, or perhaps any show? wouldnt mind comming out and seeing some familiar faces.

and i know this must be some kind of sin but here is a photo of the porsche and isuzu.

Sweet truck Marshall, thats pretty much exactly like what I am building. Mine is a 1991 though, and its a 4x4 (not sure if yours is) and its getting a 302 with a 5 speed behind it.

Love those reg cab shortbeds in those years, nice find! (did you get a decent deal on it too?)
