1986 F150 Module
I have a 1986 F150 XCab 2 wheel drive 5 liter engine EFI. My module quit on me while out hunting, got towed to a local auto wrecker and he changed it from another vehicle.It is attached to the distributor just under the distributor cap My question is should i go get a new one now that is specifically for my truck or are they the same for all 5 liters. I went to another auto wrecker when i got home and got another for a spare but it is out of a LTD 5 liter, are they the same?

It should be the same. If you want to make sure, go to a site like Autozone or rockauto and look up your truck and write down the part number of the module. Then look up a LTD and see if it's the same part number.
