Okay well not too long ago when i painted my gauges i broke my fuel gauge. So i went to the junk yard and picked me up a new one, along with factory tach, battery, and oil temp gauges.
Before yall get bent out of shape, i just spent 1 1/2 hours trying to find past posts on this (ive been told that they were on here by others already..), and i couldnt find anything about it.
Anyways im wanting to put these gauges in my truck, but have no idea how....
I currently have the dummy lights/curcuit board, and have just the "gauges".
Unless I am mistaken, you need a gauge circuit board for the gauges, but the tach one is basically a plug in. You might just want to go back and get the rest of the gauge cluster to play it safe. You might also need the sending units for gauges instead of lights. There is a recent tach thread I believe, but I know it is hard to find some of these things with the search. Even with quotes, I still have problems finding the correct phrase I enter. I sometimes have better results just by Googling something.
Yea. If I recall, it's a rather involved deal to convert a truck with the dummy lights to the deluxe gauge panel. In addition to the sending units, I think there are different wires for various functions for the deluxe gauges that the dummy light setup's wiring doesn't have.
I'm pretty sure the topics are here, but they don't show up because of the topic display cutoff settings on this forum.
