wiring question

So the either the wire going from the ignition terminal to the solenoid is bad, or the terminal itself is bad, when turned to on it has power to everything, to start nothing, so i jump it at the solenoid to start it, question is...Which wire from the terminal goes to the solenoid to "start" the engine?

I thought I found it today, but then when I turned to the "on" place it started cranking, so I'm just gonna guess that wasn't right, haha

Typically it is the red/blue wire that powers the "S" terminal on the solinoid. The brown wire, "I", is used to send a full 12 volts to the coil while the ignition switch is in the start position. The other thing to look at is the positive battery cable going to the solinoid. Last night I was troubleshooting a friends 64 Falcon that lost all power after the key was turned to start. After jiggling the wires around the engine compartment I had him sit in the truck with the key on to watch for the gen light to come on. The best part was he just replaced the battery wires less then 2 months ago.
