Exclamation Loud noise?!?

There is a loud noise coming from the engine on my 06 6.0. It sounds like a blower just running very loud. When I really give it the gas I hear a squeaking sound that kinda sounds like a belt? Does anyone know what could b causing this?

Could be the belt

Seriously, can you open the hood and isolate where it may be coming from? Could be a pulley or tensioner seizing up? Belt worn out and needs replacing? Any loss in performance?

I would say the squeak is a belt. If it isn't continuous it is a bad spot probably on the back side of belt.

Especially if it is very hot outside and the fan clutch has engaged to cool the beast.

I figured out it is something with the head gasket. It is blowing coolant out around the reservoir and it is over heating and smokin white smoke like crazy. THANK GOD ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!!

The white smoke is likely antifreeze getting into the cylinders. NOT GOOD!

Sounds like headgaskets AND EGR cooler (which also says Oil Cooler).

I would tow it in rather than driving it!

If you don't have one get a coolant filter and put it on as soon as you get the truck back to protect the oil and egr coolers among other things.

Prob the Oil Cooler as well, then normally replace oil cooler and EGR cooler at the same time.
